Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Today, let's take about what we should all consider. Today, the purpose to write this blog is to give you all a bit of awareness, a bit of G.K. we all had it in our childhood, most of us would have it in our minds still but it's good to have it.

The Three R's of the Environment
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Everyone knows that they should recycle their garbage. But what's the right way to recycle ? We can refer to the three 'R's for this: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle ! Let us take a closer look at these to figure out what these means.

What is Reduce ?

The best way to manage waste is to reduce the generation of waste in the first place. In order to achieve this, there are a few steps that can be followed such as:

  • Whenever possible, buy in bulk so that less packets are dumped in the bin.
  • Use cloth napkins instead of paper napkins.
  • Buy goods that are durable and will not need replacing too often.
By following these steps, we can reduce the production of waste.

What is Reuse ?

Reuse ? It's as simple as it sounds. It means to use something again. If you think that you are ready to dump something, stop for a second and think again. Can you reuse that ? As much as possible, try to reuse all items before you decide to dispose them. Most importantly, always try to reuse grocery bags. Always take your own bags for shopping till you feel the need to buy a new one.
Similarly, a used jam jar can be used to store chocolates. Left over food can be compost. An old shirt can become a mop and a magazine can be shared. DVDs can be traded and returnable aerated drink bottles can be returned.

What is Recycle ?

What is Recycling ? It is perhaps the most important of the three 'R's. To follow this step, here are few recycling ideas.

You can start buying recycled goods. You do this by looking for the 'recycle' symbol or ask the salesman for guidance. it's important to note that 'recycle' symbol can mean two things:

  • The product is made from recycled material.
  • The item can be recycled.
The other way to recycle is to look for recycling centres around your area. These will especially prove helpful where plastic recycling and electronic recycling are concerned.

Some Special(yet some common) Things to START BELIEVING in yourself AGAIN - PART 5

...to be continued. 13) Accept your emotions without judging them You all know what, you will agree to this. Emotions are very big players, both against and with us. Whenever we experience an uncomfortable feeling, such as sadness, fear or anger, our first instinct is to ignore it, reject it or push it away. And this fair enough, we don’t really want to walk around feeling emotional pain all the time. Emotions give us useful information about our lives. It’s understanding that you don’t need to “control” your emotions. They cannot do any damage to you.  This means allowing your emotions to just be without negatively judging them or trying to change them. 14) Get rid of these 5 toxic beliefs Your beliefs and thoughts shape the perspective of your life. The way you think, interpret and react to a situation depends on your beliefs that matter for you.  But if your beliefs aren’t accurate, they could be negatively affecting you. Here are some beliefs that may sabotage our life: i. The pres

Northern Lights are INCREDIBLE but have you ever heard of the SOUTHERN LIGHTS ?

Southern lights are a thing !!! - The AURORA AUSTRALIS What are the Southern Lights ? Much have been said and done about the northern lights, so much so, that at times travellers have outnumbered the local population of Iceland. But we all seemed to have fo rgotten about its counterpart, Aurora Australis or the Southern Lights, with are just as soul-stirring, if not more. So as winter comes to t he southern hemisphere, these dancing curtains of lights come out to play. Just like their colorful comrades in the north, the Aurora Australis too is an aftermath of the collision of gaseous particles in the earth's atmosphere with electrically charge d particles from the sun. The energy released from this collision takes place the form of the dramatic auroras. Red and Pink color Aurora Australis Green Colored Aurora Australis Why are they so exciting ? While the aurora borealis only offers a green light during the northern light phenomenon, the southern lights entice you with a motley of

BLOG #1 - THE BIG BANG - COSMIC BEGINNINGS

Accepted astrophysical theories posit that at one point there was nothing: no stars, planets or galaxies - not even the space itself. The matter that makes up everything that now exists was concentrated in a single, extremely dense point known as a singularity. The force of gravity in a singularity is so great that the fabric of space time curves in on itself. In an instant known as the big bang, however, the contents of the primordial singularity escaped - and formed the universe.                The big bang is a catchy shorthand for a complex astrophysical theory, backed up with sophisticated calculations. The term was coined in the 1950s by British astronomer Fred Boyle, a proponent of a theory of the universe as a steady state. In fact, Boyle used the term derisively. Though the name stuck, it gives a false impression, making it seem as though the event that unleashed all the energy of the universe almost 14 billion years ago was an explosion. Point of Singularity to the crea
